6.That the said shall, on demand of the said party of the first part, so soon as he shall

embark on board the said ship

for the purpose of carrying out the terms of this agreement, make an advance on account of wages to the said party of the first part to the extent of dollars, shall pay or cause to be paid monthly to the assigns-or-nominees of the said party of the first part dollar the wages to be earned by the said part of the first part in the said eo of British Guiana, the first payment to be made on the day of the date of embarkation of the said party of Provided always, and it is hereby agreed, that any the first part on board the said ship sum so advanced to the said party of the first part as aforesaid, shall be stopped or deducted out of the wages to be earned by the said party of the first part, at the rate of one Dollar per month, and that any payments so-made, as aforesaid, monthly to the assigns er nominees of the said party of the first part in China, shall te stopped or deducted in equal amounts monthly from the wages to be earned by the said party of the first
